After Jacoby Brissett was forced to leave the Indianapolis Colts' Week 9 game with a knee injury, Brian Hoyer came in and did a serviceable job replacing the team's starting QB, to the tune of 17-for-26 for 168 yards and three touchdowns. While that wasn't enough to lead the Colts to victory, Hoyer again proved to be one of the best backup QBs in the NFL.

Well, with Brissett ruled out for Week 10 against the Miami Dolphins, Hoyer will get the start this weekend, something that makes him a viable fantasy football streaming option at QB.

Despite losing 26-24 to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9, Hoyer performed well in his first NFL action of the season. He completed 65.4 percent of his passes last week to go along with the aforementioned three passing TDs. After taking all of the first-team reps during practice this week, Hoyer should be in position to thrive against a Dolphins team that has given up the fifth-most fantasy points to the QB position in 2019.

The veteran quarterback should also be a bit more comfortable in the pocket, after being sacked four times in Pittsburgh last week. Miami has totaled just 12 sacks on the season.

Hoyer's overall fantasy outlook is very positive this week, so much so that he cracked the top-12 in our updated Week 10 fantasy rankings after Brissett was ruled out. With six teams on bye this week, Hoyer should be a solid last-minute pickup for fantasy owners in need of a starting QB this week.
