The New York Jets wasted no time in moving on from their awful 2-14 campaign in 2020, firing head coach Adam Gase as soon as the season concluded. New York is now in an active search for its next leader, and some hot names are emerging as the early favorites to land the position.

Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and Kansas City Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy are the most likely to become the Jets' next head coach, according to a FanDuel Sportsbook NFL prop bet.

At +460, Daboll is the leading favorite, followed closely behind by Bieniemy (+550). Another buzz-worthy candidate, 31-year-old Carolina Panther offensive coordinator Joe Brady, rounds out the top three at +650 odds.

Other notable names for possible Jets head coach include Arthur Smith (+800), Josh McDaniels (+2100) and Urban Meyer (+2400). Meyer is seemingly in talks with the Jacksonville Jaguars, although he will command a huge contract if he does take on an NFL head-coaching gig.

It's no surprise that Daboll and Bieniemy are the early favorites. Daboll has overseen the rise of Josh Allen from mediocrity to budding superstar and helmed a top-2 offense this season in points and yards. Bieniemy comes from a similarly impressive background, spending the last three years with MVP-winner Patrick Mahomes and a truly historic Chiefs offense.

Daboll and Bieniemy are in demand for the other head-coaching openings around the league, but New York would be wise to aggressively pursue either OC as they hope to begin a new era.
