With just a month on the MLB regular season schedule remaining, the Milwaukee Brewers are poised for a deep October run thanks to their 9.5-game lead in the division standings. Teams like the Brewers find themselves in the most advantageous of positions - a playoff spot seemingly wrapped up and time to ensure the full health of the starting lineup.

That's exactly why the latest injury updates coming out of Milwaukee are such great news. Both shortstop Willy Adames and starting pitcher Freddy Peralta received some positive injury news on Tuesday morning.

Brewers Injury Update

According to reports, Adames should find himself back at shortstop for Tuesday night's tilt against the San Francisco Giants. He's seen action at DH over the weekend but hasn't played shortstop in a week due to a lingering quad issue.

On the pitching side, Peralta looks to return against the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday night. He's scheduled to start after missing two weeks with a shoulder issue. Milwaukee opted to reinstate him directly in the rotation as opposed to any rehab outings.

Peralta has been brilliant this year, pitching to a 2.45 ERA across 22 starts. The 25-year-old stud strikes out 12.2 batters per nine innings. Adames, after coming over from the Tampa Bay Rays via trade, has enjoyed a breakout stretch at the plate. He's slashing .291/.375/.536 with 17 home runs and 50 RBIs in 83 games in Milwaukee.
