Aside from the six players that officially hit free agency at the end of the season, the Milwaukee Brewers have a number of other decisions to make regarding their 2023 roster. Eighteen Brewers are eligible for arbitration this winter, which means a few players may be on the move before Friday's non-tender deadline.

One of those players is already switching teams after the Colorado Rockies claimed him off waivers from Milwaukee on Friday.

That pitcher is veteran lefty Brent Suter, who was the team's longest-tenured player.

The 33-year-old lefty spent seven seasons with Milwaukee, going 36-19 with a 3.51 ERA as a starter and reliever for the Brewers. He was a key part of the team's pitching staff during that time, helping Milwaukee make four straight playoff appearances from 2018-2021.

Suter will now have to acclimate to the toughest pitching environment in baseball at Coors Field, which is poor timing for him given that he's only one year away from free agency.
