The start of the Milwaukee Brewers' 11-game road trip got off on a sour note, a walk-off loss to the San Diego Padres on Monday night. Making matters worse, Milwaukee walked away with another name on the injury report in outfielder Hunter Renfroe.

Renfroe departed Monday's game early after scoring from first base on a double by Tyrone Taylor in the second inning.

Lorenzo Cain replaced Renfroe in the fourth inning.

The official diagnosis is "right hamstring discomfort." There's been no word if this injury will require an IL stint, but it's likely Renfroe will need at least some additional rest in the coming days.

Brewers News

Renfroe is Milwaukee's hottest hitter of late, slashing .357/.383/.619 in his last 12 games with 3 home runs and 8 RBIs. The veteran outfielder's injury comes on the heels of Milwaukee losing Freddy Peralta and Willy Adames to the injured list.

Monday's loss was just the 16th of the season for Milwaukee, who sits atop the NL Central standings at 26-16 and a 2.0-game lead.
