The Atlanta Braves have been dominant over the last half-decade, making the postseason in five straight campaigns while winning the 2021 World Series and notching 90+ victories three different times during that span. Not surprisingly, other teams around the league have taken notice.

On Monday, it was revealed that the Braves are in danger of losing a key member of their front office.

MLB insider Ken Rosenthal reported a full list of candidates in contention for the open GM role with the Houston Astros. Braves VP of Scouting Dana Brown was amongst the three names on this list.

Having joined the franchise in 2019, Brown may not have the longest track record but he's already produced excellent results. Brown oversaw the drafting and development of Michael Harris II, Vaughn Grissom and Spencer Strider, all of whom delivered outstanding rookie campaigns in 2022.

Houston and Atlanta are very familiar with one another after meeting in the 2021 World Series, so it's not surprising at all to see the Astros eyeing front-office talent from the team that beat them in six games during that year's Fall Classic.
