Star outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. gave Atlanta Braves a major scare this past weekend after he fouled a ball off of his left foot and was unable to finish the game. The initial prognosis was encouraging, though, leaving the door open for Acuña to return in short order.

Now it appears that day has arrived.

Manager Brad Snitker told reporters Thursday night he expects the two-time All-Star back in the lineup to open the team's upcoming series against the Cincinnati Reds. Acuña was even available to pinch-hit in the finale against the Philadelphia Phillies, though a 14-4 loss didn't require him to come off of the bench.

This is a huge sigh of relief that Acuña's fully ready to go after picking up foot bruise. Should he start on Friday, he'll have only missed four games. Atlanta certainly missed him after going 2-2 during that stretch.

The 24-year-old has looked great in his return from a torn ACL last season. He's slashing .281/.372/.455 with 7 home runs, 18 RBIs and 13 stolen bases.

With the star outfielder likely back in the fold, Atlanta is a clear -280 favorite over Cincinnati (+230) on Friday, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB odds.
