Braves Get Great News on Huascar Ynoa Injury Update

With the New York Mets floundering, the race for the NL East division title is very much alive for the Atlanta Braves. Atlanta now sits just 1.0 game back of the division lead, and news of Huascar Ynoa's successful rehab start is music to their ears.
On Friday, Ynoa tossed 3.2 innings during a rehab stint with Triple-A Gwinnett. The 23-year-old righty allowed just one earned run while throwing 46 of 68 pitches for strikes and zero walks.
As Braves fans will remember, Ynoa has been sidelined on the 60-day injured list since May, when he fractured his hand while punching the dugout in frustration.

Huascar Ynoa Injury Update
It will be easy to put that moment in the rearview mirror if Ynoa comes back and continues to shine for Atlanta's starting rotation. After all, the righty had pitched to a 3.02 ERA and 1.052 WHIP across his first eight starts of the season.
The division is up for grabs and Atlanta will need all the starting pitching they can get. Currently, this team sits with the 13th-best ERA in baseball (4.04) while ranking top-10 in runs scored (532).
According to the latest MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook, the Braves sit with favorable +180 odds to win the NL East. With the NL West division all but certain to grab the two NL Wild Card spots, the division title is the only hope for postseason baseball in Atlanta.
