The Houston Texans traded for Brandin Cooks last offseason. Fast forward a few months, and Bill O'Brien was fired and the Texans are 1-6. That means they could be shaking things up at the trade deadline, which may include undoing some of the moves O'Brien made.
With that in mind, these are three possible destinations for Cooks ahead of the trade deadline.
3. New England Patriots
The New England Patriots are desperate for offensive weapons, and they have familiarity and success with Cooks. The wide receiver spent the 2017 season with New England, and he totaled 65 receptions for 1,082 yards and 7 touchdowns. He would likely become the top receiving weapon immediately upon his arrival.
2. Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers sit in first in the NFC North, with the offense rolling. However, they still lack a number two wide receiver, especially with Allen Lazard hurt. Cooks would be a great complement to Davante Adams, and Cooks had himself a bit of a showcase game against the Packers in Week 7, catching seven passes for 60 yards.
1. Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns are third in the AFC North, but they do have a 5-2 record. They are finally a team to respect, but they lost wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. for the season following a Week 7 injury. The Browns do not see many chances to look competent, so they should go all-in on this moment and shop for wide receiver help.
