The Buffalo Bills have come so close to making their first Super Bowl appearance since 1993 over the last two seasons. Adding one more dynamic playmaker to the mix might put them over the top. The good news is that Todd McShay has Buffalo landing a huge steal in his latest NFL mock draft.

Bills Mock Draft

McShay expects the Bills to grab cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. with the 25th pick of the first round. The Clemson standout sneaks into the top 20 of a lot of other mock drafts due to his ballhawk mentality. Throwing him into Leslie Frazier's defensive scheme would certainly be dangerous.

Booth excelled over his final two seasons with the Tigers, racking up 64 tackles (6.0 for loss) and 5 interceptions. He also posted 9 pass breakups over 21 games played during that span. The 21-year-old has the talent to start from day one and obviously fills a huge need in Buffalo's secondary.

Not only did veteran CB Levi Wallace sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers in free agency, but starter Tre'Davious White is coming off a torn ACL. Building depth at the position has become a major priority for a Bills team that only gave up 9.5 yards per completion in 2021 (T-No. 4 in NFL).

Buffalo is set up well for another playoff run and can strengthen their Super Bowl chances by nailing their first-round pick. Booth has the size (6-foot, 194 pounds) to take on bigger wide receivers and the speed to keep up with them in coverage. It shouldn't take long for him to adjust to the NFL level.

The 2022 NFL Draft is set to get underway on Thursday, April 28.
