One storyline remained a constant throughout the brilliant 2021 campaign of Buffalo Bills football, and it wasn't even related to the team's on-field performance. Reports picked up in August surrounding the franchise's desire to build a new stadium, and it appears we're finally getting closer to that officially happen.

Will the Bills Get a New Stadium?

Ben Fischer ofSports Business Journal reported earlier this week that "a deal is nearly at hand" for Pegula Sports & Entertainment, the state of New York and Erie County to finalize new stadium plans in Buffalo.

The deal is currently focused on the cost-sharing arrangement, which skews heavily in Pegula Sports & Entertainment's (parent company of the Bills) favor. Fischer called this one of "the most team-friendly splits in recent NFL memory."

When it comes down to it, Bills fans are eager to see their team find a new home that keeps them in Buffalo and they're willing to pay for it. It's understandable given the excitement of this team surrounding Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs and other stars. Buffalo has gone 34-15, including three straight playoff appearances, with Allen under center.

Highmark Stadium has been the home to the Bills since 1973, making it the fourth-oldest active stadium in the NFL.

New stadium or not, the Bills will try to get over their recent playoff woes that have ended in back-to-back gut wrenching losses to the Kansas City Chiefs. Buffalo holds leading +700 odds to win Super Bowl 57 on FanDuel Sportsbook.
