After severely botching the New England Patriots' quarterback situation in Week 7, Bill Belichick isn't going to make the same mistake in Week 8.

During a press conference on Thursday, Belichick informed the media who New England's quarterback will be against the New York Jets on Sunday.

Patriots Quarterback Week 8

Belichick cleared up the confusion hovering around the Patriots by naming Mac Jones as the starting quarterback for Week 8 over Bailey Zappe. He also said that he expects Jones "to be fully available and ready to go for the game," which was not the case in Week 7 when Jones came out of the game after only three drives due to a lingering high-ankle sprain.

It seems that Belichick has learned his lesson from the Week 7 fiasco, when he apparently did not tell his players which quarterback was starting until right before the game. Now the team can prepare accordingly to have Jones under center for potentially the entire game.

After beating the Jets twice last year, Jones will try to defeat them again in Week 8. The Patriots are listed as 2.5-point road favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
