One of the better "Monday Night Football" matchups of the entire season comes to us in Week 10, when MVP candidate Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks travel to Santa Clara to take on Jimmy Garoppolo and the undefeated San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers are currently 6.5-point home favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Although, despite being favored by almost a touchdown, the betting history works in favor of the Seahawks here.

Over the last five years, the Seahawks are 11-5-2 against the spread (ATS) when playing as an away underdog in the regular season. When you modify that scenario with the same circumstances when Seattle is coming off a win as well, it's 8-2-1 ATS. Since Seattle was on bye last week, the Seahawks' record coming off a bye would be 1-0 ATS in this situation, but they did beat Atlanta in Week 8, 27-20.

The lone time they have played the 49ers under those conditions, the Seahawks are 1-0 ATS.

Both teams have proven to be two of the NFL's best so far this season. San Francisco, anchored by the NFL's best defense and Seattle, carried by Russell Wilson having arguably the best season of his career.

The Niners will be missing one huge piece of their offense though, with star tight end George Kittle being ruled out in this one. It will surely be a thorn in the side of a passing offense that hasn't exactly been stellar this year, ranking No. 22 in passing yards per game (219.1).

We'll see how this all plays out on "Monday Night Football", but history certainly seems to be on the Seahawks' side here.
