The Cincinnati Bengals' Cinderella run to Super Bowl 56 ended with a devastating loss. But with Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase leading the offense, this team will have an opportunity to compete for years to come. The Super Bowl performance simply highlighted the most pressing need on Cincinnati's roster.

Bengals Free Agent Rumors

NFL.com gave a prediction for each team a free agent could be matched with this offseason, and the Bengals are projected for the perfect signing: five-time Pro Bowl offensive guard Brandon Scherff.

Free Agency Predictions

Scherff is considered one of, if not the most highly-sought after o-lineman in this year's free-agent class after seven years with the Washington Commanders. He's fresh off three straight Pro Bowl campaigns and an All-Pro nod in 2021.

The model of consistency, Scherff has played at least 95% of offensive snaps and 11-plus games in six of his seven NFL seasons. He received a 73.6 grade from PFF this past year while allowing zero sacks in 697 snaps.

On the other hand, Bengals fans are fully aware of the team's need for a better offensive line. Burrow took on an insane 70 sacks between the regular season and playoffs, including seven times during the Super Bowl. Those seven sacks played a huge role in the final box score.

Scherff would stability, veteran leadership, and All-Pro talent to a Bengals offensive line in desperate need of it.
