Bengals Player Requests Trade After Orlando Brown Jr. Signing

The Cincinnati Bengals entered free agency with the goal of improving their protection for quarterback Joe Burrow, and they've done just that with a slew of moves. The biggest addition is offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr., who will instantly elevate this unit.
Brown's arrival has led to one player wanting out, however.
In the wake of the Orlando Brown signing, #Bengals OT Jonah Williams has requested a trade through his agent Ryan Tollner, sources say. Just 25 years old with 47 career starts at LT protecting Joe Burrow, Williams becomes the top tackle available if Cincy is willing to move on. pic.twitter.com/miTcjVjCtG

Bengals Trade Rumors
Fellow tackle Jonah Williams has requested a trade, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Brown has been brought in to take over at LT, and it seems Williams isn't interested in moving to the right side after the four-time Pro Bowler's arrival.
Williams has been Cincinnati's featured left tackle since entering the league as the No. 11 pick by the team in 2019. He's started all 42 games he's appeared in during this span, but he's also struggled to keep Burrow upright, allowing a league-high 12 sacks in 2022.
Williams' pass-protection troubles opened the door for the team to pursue upgrades, which it acquired in the form of Brown. Now the Bengals will look to offload Williams and his $12.6 million contract for the 2023 season.
