The Cincinnati Bengals made one of the most exciting first-round picks of the 2021 NFL Draft in LSU wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase. Chase is now reunited with his former college quarterback Joe Burrow.

Bengals' offensive coordinator Bryce Callahan recently said he can already see their chemistry on the field.

Callahan isn't the first one to notice as Burrow himself said during OTAs that his connection with Chase is "right back to where it was." Of course, these two players won a National Title together and connected for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns through the air in that 2019 season alone.

Burrow has looked comfortable with starters Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins as well, but Callahan said it's different for the rookie.

"The cool thing is Joe’s done that with Ja’Marr for two years and this is the third year of doing it. They got a good rapport. You can see it and feel it. They know how to communicate with each other. I think that’s exciting for me."

The second-year quarterback looked impressive last season before tearing his ACL in Week 11. He completed 65.3% of his pass attempts for 2,688 yards and tossed 13 touchdowns to 5 interceptions. Burrow will look to improve in the fall surrounded by one of the strongest and youngest WR groups in the NFL.

Chase could be in for a big year and is currently tied for the eighth-best odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year at +1700, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. As a team, Cincinnati remains a long shot to make the NFL playoffs with odds set at +450.
