Bengals Meet With Possible Larry Ogunjobi Replacement

The Cincinnati Bengals entered the NFL offseason with hopes of bringing back most of their 2021 roster after making it all the way to Super Bowl LVI last year. However, defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi will not be one of those players.
While Ogunjobi won't be easy to replace, the Bengals still need someone to take over his spot on the roster. According to the latest rumors, that player could end up being former Kansas City Chiefs DT Jarran Reed.

Bengals Free Agency
Beginning on Thursday, multiple sources are reported that the Bengals are set to host an interview with Reed. There isn't an indication of when the visit will take place, but it's believed that it'll happen in the coming days.
Reed spent the 2021 NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs, suiting up in all 17 games. Although he didn't have a career year, he finished with a respectable 43 tackles, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He was also a solid pass rusher, tallying 2.5 sacks, 12 quarterback hits and 19 pressures.
Even though Reed would fit in nicely with Cincinnati's other defenders, Ogunjobi's return hasn't been ruled out yet. The Bengals thought they had lost him in free agency when he agreed to terms with the Chicago Bears, but that deal fell through after Ogunjobi failed a physical.
At the end of the day, the Bengals need someone to play defensive tackle — regardless of who that is. Until the rest of the roster begins to take shape, Cincinnati currently has +2200 odds (No. 11) to win Super Bowl LVII, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
