Cincinnati Bengals fans have been holding their breath ever since they heard that starting quarterback Joe Burrow went to the hospital. It's all good news, though. Reports have stated that Burrow's treatment for a throat contusion was all precautionary and he should be fine now.

Joe Burrow Injury Update

Burrow was forced to leave the game on Sunday after taking a hit, but returned quickly and played until the final whistle. However, he was sent to the hospital after struggling to talk in the locker room. It has been confirmed that Burrow was already released by doctors.

This is great news given Burrow has a bit of an injury history in his young career. The former first-round pick missed six games due to a torn ACL last season. Burrow has proven to be tough leader and it is clear how much he wants to be out on the field with his teammates.

The Cincinnati signal-caller has completed 71.7% of his pass attempts for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns through five games played. Burrow also thrown 6 interceptions this season. All eyes will be on how he practices this week and whether or not he is limited in any way.

The Bengals will look to get back in the win column when they take on the winless Detroit Lions in Week 6 NFL action. Cincinnati is slated as a 3.5-point road favorite in that one, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
