Ben Roethlisberger Takes Hilarious Shot at Mike Tomlin

The Pittsburgh Steelers are riding high, coming into Week 11 with a 9-0 record and the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars on the schedule next. Head coach Mike Tomlin doesn't want the team to get complacent against their 1-8 opponent, though. Tomlin says the matchup is not like a "Big Ten team playing a MAC opponent."
Steeler quarterback Ben Roethlisberger took exception to Tomlin's use of the MAC and roasted his head coach for the comment.
Ben Roethlisberger says he took exception to Mike Tomlin taking a shot at the MAC yesterday. Said he'll clap back at Tomlin once he figures out "what conference William & Mary is in."#shotsfired

Given that Roethlisberger is a Mid-American Conference alum, he had to step up and call out Tomlin for the quote, ribbing his head coach about his alma mater's athletics program in the process.
Roethlisberger went to Miami University (Ohio) during his college career, which is a member of the MAC. He was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Year for the 2003 season before being drafted by the Steelers in 2004.
Tomlin graduated from the College of William & Mary in 1994 and played wide receiver for the football team. The school is currently a member of the Colonial Athletic Association.
The fact that Roethlisberger feels comfortable making fun of his head coach demonstrates how close of a bond he shares with Tomlin.
