The Chicago Bears do not have a first-round pick in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft, which puts a bit more emphasis on nailing their second-round pick (No. 39 overall). Odds released on FanDuel Sportsbook point to the front office taking a wide receiver above any other position available.

Chicago Bears NFL Draft

WR is the favorite at +250 and is followed closely behind by cornerback at +340. The rest of the list includes defensive lineman (+430), offensive lineman (+500), linebacker (+650), safety (+850), running back (+1100), tight end (+1600, quarterback (+6000) and kicker/punter/long snapper (+10000).

The idea of Chicago drafting a pass-catcher makes a lot of sense considering Allen Robinson left the team in free agency. Darnell Mooney will now take over the top spot with free-agent signings Byron Pringle and Equanimeous St. Brown lining up alongside him. Simply put, that group leaves a little to be desired.

Mooney is only entering his third year in the NFL and neither Pringle or St. Brown have racked up more than 568 yards in a season. It's never a bad idea to gather offensive weapons for quarterback Justin Fields, too. The former Ohio State standout continues to express his excitement for the future.

Names that stick out in the beginning of the second round include North Dakota State's Christian Watson and Western Michigan's Skyy Moore. Watson's vertical speed ranks among the top in the draft class and Moore's route-running skills could make him an immediate target on offense.

Bears fans are surely going to be tuning in when Chicago is on the clock on Friday, April 29. The only thing left to find out is who will be calling Soldier Field home in 2022.
