The Chicago Bears looked doomed when they lost six straight games and fell to a 5-7 record in the middle of the season. However, they have won three straight games since and head into Week 17 with a chance to clinch a spot in the NFL playoffs.

The Bears enter Week 17 with a 77.0% chance to make the NFL playoffs, according to Football Outsiders. That number has increased 41.2% since last week. However, they draw a touch matchup this week going up against the Green Bay Packers and are currently 5.5-point underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL betting odds.

Bears Odds to Make Playoffs

The season has turned around for the Bears, and their odds to make the NFL playoffs currently sit at -235, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL future odds. The Los Angeles Rams are another NFC wild card contender and their odds are -650.

There are a variety of ways in which the Bears can clinch a playoff spot in Week 17. Simply put, if they defeat the Packers, they are in. However, a loss isn't the end of the world as the Bears can still clinch a playoff berth if the Arizona Cardinals lose to the Rams. It's a battle between three teams for two wild card spots.

It's definitely been an up-and-down season for the Bears, but it looks like it could all pay off this weekend. Chicago is looking to make the playoffs for the first time since 2018 and take on the role of a tough underdog team that no one wants to face.
