Bears News: Roger Goodell Comments on Team's Potential Move From Soldier Field to Arlington Heights

One major story around the NFL right now is the Chicago Bears' current stadium situation. The team is exploring a potential move from the historic Soldier Field in downtown to possibly something more modern and outside of the city.
Chicago has already submitted an offer for Arlington International Racecourse in Arlington Heights, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell recently gave insight on the team's talks over that site.

Goodell expressed that the team is content with Soldier Field and didn't characterize a departure as imminent. Rather, the commissioner says the Bears are doing their due diligence to explore long-term alternatives to their current home.
"We have a long lease at Soldier Field. It’s a great place. But we’re all looking to the long term and trying to look at alternatives, and that’s what the Bears are doing. But I think for fans right now, I wouldn’t be focused on that."

Given this being a hot-button issue, the commissioner seemed to play down concerns and try to reassure fans. But it still sounds like the Bears' interest in moving from Soldier Field is real given the work they're putting into exploring the Arlington Park site.
Solider Field has been the Bears' home since 1971, but questions are only growing around how much longer that may be the case.
