David Montgomery Injury Update
The Bears don't fear that it is an ACL injury for Montgomery, which is encouraging to hear. Seeing the RB down on the field and clutching at his left knee was a cause for concern that it could be something major.
Montgomery will undergo more tests on Monday, though it appears he avoided the worst-case scenario.
#Bears RB David Montgomery, who left with a knee injury, will have an MRI tomorrow, source said. The initial belief based on early tests is that the hyperextended knee did not lead to a major injury. But the additional tests will tell the full story.

The third-year pro would be slated to miss at least a couple weeks with a hyperextended knee, but that'd be a much better outcome than losing him for the entire year.
Montgomery has recorded 309 yards and 3 touchdowns across the first four games this season. Any absence would be a blow considering how this struggling offense has depended on the ground game to this point.
The Bears may be without Montgomery as they turn their attention toward a Week 5 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.
