Bears Meet With Exciting Free-Agent Wide Receiver

Chicago Bears fans may not be excited about rolling into the 2021 NFL season with Andy Dalton as their starting quarterback, but the franchise is certainly doing everything it can to position him for success.
The Bears used the franchise tag on stud wideout Allen Robinson, and now they're in discussions with the best remaining free-agent wide receiver.
Lions' free-agent WR Kenny Golladay spent Wednesday night meeting with Bears GM Ryan Pace and HC Matt Nagy, per source. He is scheduled to be in New York tonight to meet with the Giants.

Kenny Golladay Bears
Kenny Golladay would be a massive addition to the Bears offense. Before an injury-shortened 2020 campaign, Golladay racked up back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, also scoring a league-leading 11 touchdowns in 2019.
It's not like he was playing poorly when he was active in 2020, either, actually averaging a career-best 10.6 yards per target.
The other benefit to signing Golladay is that at that point, trading Robinson could become a viable option to gather draft capital to build at another position. That would still leave Golladay and the incredibly promising Darnell Mooney (61 receptions, 631 yards as a rookie fifth-round pick in 2020) as a solid WR duo.
If Dalton has any hopes of a late-career resurgence, adding Golladay would certainly help make that more likely.
