Baker Mayfield had a pretty impressive rookie season, one that almost landed him an NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. Mayfield threw for 3,725 yards and 27 touchdowns in just 14 games (13 starts), after taking over at QB for Tyrod Taylor midway through Week 3.

With the Browns making big moves this offseason to provide Mayfield with ample talent around him, it's safe to expect the young quarterback to have an even better fantasy season in 2019.

Mayfield is arguably the most promising young fantasy quarterback since Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III's rookie seasons. The amazing thing about it is that Baker wasn't even drafted into a good situation for a rookie quarterback, and he was able to perform.

Remember, the Browns had won just one game the entire two seasons prior to Mayfield arriving in Cleveland, and the head coach at the time, Hue Jackson, elected to go with Taylor as the starter, despite Mayfield being drafted with the No. 1 overall pick. There's almost no question that fantasy owners should expect Mayfield to be better in 2019 than he was last season.

While other young quarterbacks also offer breakout potential, no one looks to be as sure of a thing as Mayfield. Both the Baltimore Ravens' Lamar Jackson and the Buffalo Bills' Josh Allen provided big fantasy games at times last year, due to their impressive rushing stats, but neither has yet to show that they can accurately get the ball to receivers down field on a consistent basis.

Kyler Murray also looks promising, but he's yet to play an NFL snap for the Arizona Cardinals, the league's worst offense from last season.

Based on what he showed us last year and the incredible amount of upside he has in an offense that now features Odell Beckham Jr., Mayfield needs to be drafted as a fantasy QB1 (top 12) in 2019.
