Baker Mayfield Return
Mayfield could return by the time OTAs roll around this offseason, according to ESPN's Jake Trotter. The league's finalized calendar for 2022 has April 18 as the usual start date for Organized Team Activities, or April 4 for teams with new head coaches.
With Mayfield scheduled to go under the knife as soon as possible, he'd have plenty of time to rest and recover before offseason work can begin. The injury is also on his non-throwing shoulder, which will hopefully make rehab not as troublesome for the 26-year-old.
All eyes will now be on the Browns as they weigh Mayfield's future in Cleveland. The former No. 1 overall pick is entering the final year of his contract with no extension currently signed, despite several others from his draft class getting long-term deals.
