Astros' Upcoming Schedule Makes Them Good Bet to Make MLB Postseason

The Houston Astros have been one of the American League's hottest teams, sporting a 37-20 record thus far, which is just 1.5 games away from being the AL's best record. There's plenty of reasons to be excited in Houston, but the biggest reason has to be the Astros' remaining schedule.

With a commanding 7.5-game lead in the AL West, the Astros could cruise to a division title. Their upcoming schedule is just another point in the Astros' favor, as Houston will only face a team with a record above .500 in 26 of their remaining 106 games.

Unsurprisingly, Houston is heavily favored to win the AL West (-3000), according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

At -3000, the Astros are seemingly a lock to win their divison. The next best odds belong to the Oakland Athletics (+1700). Additionally, the Astros are also currently favored to win the American League (+175) and even the World Series (+350).

When you combine the Astros' seemingly easy remaining schedule with their elite pitching and hitting, it should come as no surprise that Houston is such a heavy favorite.
