NFL cornerback legend Aqib Talib officially hung up his cleats prior to the start of the 2020 season, closing the book on a storied 12-year career. Talib has made a familiar transition from the field to the broadcasting booth, providing insights and earning praise for his unique perspective.

In a recent interview, Talib explained that he's trying to be the best in the booth. He took the same approach as a player, studying top talents like Deion Sanders and Champ Bailey.

But the players he didn't watch speaks volumes about how he feels about some of his counterparts, like Charles "Peanut" Tillman.

"Just like when I played, I mean nothing against, like, Peanut Tillman or nothing against Kevin Smith or those guys, but I ain't watch those guys when I wanted to be a cornerback. I watched Deion Sanders and Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey."

Even if Talib doesn't mean any offense, he's clearly making a point by comparing Tillman to the legends he did watch.

Still, Tillman and Talib are regarded as two of the best corners in recent memory. Tillman spent 12 of his 13 seasons with the Chicago Bears, racking up 38 interceptions and 8 TDs over his career while earning 2 Pro Bowl selections and 1 All-Pro nod.

Talib, meanwhile, hauled in 35 interceptions and scored 10 TDs during his 12 NFL seasons, spending time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams. He earned 5 Pro Bowl nominations and 1 All-Pro honor, in addition to helping Denver win Super Bowl 50 in 2016

Even if he's no longer on the field, Talib is still a sizable presence in the game today as a broadcaster.
