Antonio Gibson Injury Update Solidifies Fantasy Outlook in Week 4

Fantasy football managers have been holding their breath all week as Washington Football Team's Antonio Gibson works through a shin injury. Fortunately, his latest injury update comes with good news. The running back is expected to play on Sunday afternoon against the Atlanta Falcons.
Gibson popped up on the injury report after he missed practice on Thursday. The young playmaker returned in a limited capacity on Friday and seems ready to suit up. His workload may not be as heavy as usual, but Gibson's fantasy outlook is solidified heading into Week 4.

Antonio Gibson Fantasy Outlook
Gibson has been a vital part of this Washington offense. He currently leads the team with 285 yards from scrimmage and has seen a reliable 51 touches through the first three games. The second-year pro is also making an impact in the passing game and hauled in a marvelous 73-yard touchdown catch in Week 3.
Leg injuries can be tricky, which means that Gibson is more likely to see a workload similar to his Week 3 output (12 carries) than his output in Week 1 (20 carries). Backup JD McKissic could be set to see a few more snaps given his ability to rack up receptions out of the backfield (7 catches in 2021).
However, this is a great matchup for Gibson no matter how you look at it. Atlanta is allowing 4.5 yards per rush attempt this season (T-No. 22 in NFL) and this game has a narrow spread of just 1.5 points. That means Gibson should see touches all the way through the fourth quarter.
Fantasy managers can feel confident about sliding Gibson into a starting spot before kickoff at 1 p.m. EST. The 23-year-old checks in at RB7 in The Duel's Week 4 fantasy football rankings.
