Anthony Davis is dealing with a right quad contusion and has been ruled out for Thursday night's game against the Detroit Pistons.
It has not yet been announced who will replace Davis in the starting lineup, but Kyle Kuzma and Markieff Morris are the top candidates. Kuzma has been ahead of Morris in the rotation recently.
LeBron James Fantasy
LeBron James' fantasy outlook gets a huge boost with Davis on the shelf. When the two have shared the court this season, LeBron averages 1.35 FanDuel points per minute with a 30.1% usage rate. When Davis is off, those numbers jump to 1.49 per minute and a 37.2% usage rate.
James was already a top fantasy pick for today, and Davis' absence solidifies that.
Kyle Kuzma Fantasy
Kyle Kuzma's best fantasy performance of the season (36.1 FanDuel points) came early in the season when he started in Davis' place. Kuz is generally seeing minutes in the low-20's, but with Davis freeing up 32.8 minutes per game in the frontcourt, Kuzma should get plenty of run.
With a FanDuel salary of just $3,900, he shouldn't have much trouble returning solid value.
