Another Vikings Player Named Last-Minute Addition to Pro Bowl

Now that the Super Bowl LVII matchup is set between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, the next event on the NFL calendar is the Pro Bowl.
The annual event will look a bit different this year with no actual tackle football game happening. Instead, there will be a series of skills competitions and a flag football game to avoid severe injuries to players in an essentially meaningless game.
Some players do drop out of the Pro Bowl for various reasons like injuries or other obligations such as the Super Bowl. This requires their spots to be filled, and one Minnesota Viking is being added because of that.
Danielle Hunter Pro Bowl News
Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter will be replacing Haason Reddick of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Danielle Hunter has been named to the NFL Pro Bowl Games. He’s replacing Haason Reddick. Hunter started in all 17 games this season and had 65 tackles (46 solo), a career-high-tying 22 quarterback hits, a team-leading 10.5 sacks and a career-high three passes defensed.

Reddick clearly has something more important going on now that the Eagles are in the Super Bowl. Fortunately for Hunter, that opens up a spot for him to play in the Pro Bowl.
This will be Hunter's third Pro Bowl appearance for Minnesota after previously receiving the honor in 2018 and 2019. The 28-year-old is coming off another strong individual campaign in which he racked up 65 tackles, 22 QB hits and 10.5 sacks while starting all 17 regular-season games. While the Vikings' defense as a whole was disappointing this year, Hunter was one of the unit's few bright spots.
