Angels News: Mike Trout Provides Great Update on Elbow Injury

The Los Angeles Angels are looking to make the playoffs this season for the first time since 2014, but can't do so without their star player Mike Trout. Luckily, the outfielder provided a great update on his elbow injury and said he will be in the lineup on Monday.
Trout: "It's getting better each and every day. I took a couple swings. It's still not 100 percent, but I look forward to being in the lineup tomorrow."

Mike Trout Injury Update
The 3-time American League MVP was hit by a pitch during a game against the Houston Astros a few days ago and bruised his left elbow. He has been riding the bench ever since, but it is looking like he will avoid a stint on the injured list. The injury is not serious and Trout seems ready to go.
Trout reportedly spent some time taking swings in the batting cage on Sunday and he said felt good about it. The 29-year-old is one of the bets all-around players in the MLB and has been a mainstay in the Angels lineup for the last decade.
The Angels would benefit from having Trout back given his hot start to the season. He was slashing an impressive .393/.521/.804 line before his injury. The 8-time All-Star has racked up 6 home runs, 15 runs scored and 12 RBI through 17 games in 2021.
The Angels (9-10) are fighting to keep pace in a strong AL West division and need to stay healthy in order to contend for a Wild Card spot. Simply put, baseball is better when Mike Trout is playing.
