Andy Reid Heaps Serious Praise onto Bills Coach Sean McDermott
By Max Staley

Sean McDermott has been incredibly impressive since taking over the Buffalo Bills. Taking over a 7-9 team, McDermott has led the team to a 38-26 record across his four seasons at the helm. His Bills will now face Andy Reid's Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
Interestingly, McDermott is a member of Reid's impressive coaching tree, having served as his defensive coordinator with the 2009-10 Philadelphia Eagles. And Reid had some seriously high-praise for his former assistant just a few days ahead of their impending matchup.
Andy Reid on #Bills coach Sean McDermott: "He deserves to be Coach of the Year."

Though there are plenty of deserving candidates this year, McDermott absolutely belongs among that group. Buffalo went 13-3 after finishing 10-6 the year prior, and under McDermott's watch, Josh Allen has taken the leap to superstardom.
Plus, McDermott was instrumental in the defensive turnaround that helped make the Bills a legitimate contender. Buffalo surrendered 26.5 points per game (PPG) over the first 10 weeks of the season, but that number fell to 18.6 PPG over the team's next eight games (including the playoffs).
To put that into context, 26.5 PPG would've made the Bills the league's 11th-worst scoring defense in 2020 while 18.6 PPG would've tied them for the second-best such mark in the NFL. That's quite the jump.
We'll see if McDermott and the Bills can maintain that pace against his former boss this weekend. FanDuel Sportsbook currently has Kansas City as a 3-point favorite.
