Andruw Jones Tweets Classy Response to Hall of Fame Snub

One of the biggest names denied a spot in the Baseball Hall of Fame this year is former Atlanta Braves star Andruw Jones. The electric centerfielder was one of the best two-way talents of the 2000s, and many hoped this would be his time to be recognized for his achievements.
Instead, only Jeff Rolen was elected to the Hall of Fame. Jones tweeted his reaction to the results Wednesday evening.
What a good year — jumping nearly 17% . I want to thank everyone who voted for me, I am honored. Also incredibly proud of my former teammate, Fred McGriff, and my former competitor, Scott Rolen… well earned, fellas! 🙌🏾🙏🏾

Jones was nothing but class on social media. He elected to focus on the positive of seeing his votes increase nearly 17%. The decorated Brave also made sure to shine the spotlight on Fred McGriff and Rolen, who will both be inducted in July.
No one would expect anything less from the kind-hearted five-time All-Star. There's also no point in ripping anyone who didn't give him a vote, since it could impact his campaigning for next year's class.
It's still disappointing to see the ten-time Gold Glove winner denied the glory of being a Hall of Fame inductee yet again. However, he's increased his voting share every year, and 2024 could very well be his time.
