Amari Cooper is on track to be healthy by the time the regular season rolls around, giving Dallas Cowboys fans plenty of room for optimism heading into the 2021 season.

Cooper already leads a receiving corps that gives Dak Prescott one of the best arrays of weapons in the league, but that doesn't mean he's not always looking to improve.

Amari Cooper Weight

Cooper revealed on Tuesday that he's already lost 10 pounds (from 225 to 215) and plans to cut another five before the start of the season.

He wants to play the best football of his career in 2021, and he believes this weight loss will allow him to be faster than ever.

Cooper weighed in at 211 pounds back at the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine, when he ran a 4.42-second 40-yard dash. It's interesting to hear that he was playing up at 225 over the past few seasons, and he clearly feels more comfortable playing at the lower weight.

Cooper is already one of the most explosive receivers in the league, as he showed when he averaged 15.1 yards per reception back in 2019, and playing lighter and faster could make him even more dangerous in 2021.

Cooper and the Cowboys are +130 favorites to win the NFC East according to NFL futures odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
