Wide receiver Allen Robinson is a popular name amongst free agents this offseason, but it is possible that the Chicago Bears use the franchise tag on him. The window to do so opened up on Feb. 23 and the Bears could employ it as a way to keep him in town or as a way to trade him to avoid losing Robinson for nothing.

It's a wait-and-see game at this point. A number of NFL teams would likely be interested in trading for the Pro Bowl wide receiver if he is franchise tagged. With that in mind, here are the top three trade destinations for Robinson.

1. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are a young football team on the rise with a strong defense and a young quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa leading the way. However, they remain in the need of depth at the wide receiver position. Having Robinson line up alongside starting wide receiver DeVante Parker and tight end Mike Gesicki would create problems for any opposing defense. Plus, the Dolphins have the assets and draft capital to make a trade happen if that is what needs to be done. Ensuring Tagovailoa has enough offensive weapons should be a top priority for Miami and trading for Robinson would be a way to do just that.

2. Baltimore Ravens

Another contending team in need of upgrading their wide receiving core is the Baltimore Ravens. Trading for Robinson would give quarterback Lamar Jackson a surefire No. 1 receiver, which is something he hasn't had since he was drafted in 2018. Marquise Brown would immediately become a speedy No. 2 receiver and benefit from Robinson drawing the tough coverage. The Ravens know that this free agent WR class is loaded with great players, so a trade may not be their favorite way to go. However, acquiring Robinson would take an already-strong offense to another level.

3. Washington Football Team

An overlooked team in the competition to have Robinson join their team this offseason is the Washington Football Team. Simply put, pairing him up with Terry McLaurin would create one of the best WR duos in the entire league. Washington heads into the offseason amongst the top teams when it comes to available cap space. That means they have the capability to make a trade if needed. Robinson is only 27 years old and could be well worth the price. Washington won the NFC East last season and making a move like this would only make them the favorites to do so once again.
