Time is ticking as the college football season quickly approaches next fall. This upcoming year will be kicked off by a superb season-opening game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Miami Hurricanes. In fact, the game information for that marquee matchup has now been announced.
The opener will kick off at 3:30 p.m. EST on Sept. 4 and be broadcasted nationally on ABC. It'll take place at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Alabama will enter with a 14-3 all-time record against Miami. However, these two storied programs haven't met head-to-head since the 1993 Sugar Bowl.

Of course, Alabama is coming off a season in which it captured its third National Championship in the last six seasons. There will be a lot of new faces on this squad including starting quarterback Bryce Young. Young is on the shortlist of Heisman Candidates with odds set at +1000 to take home the award.
On the other side, Miami finished with an 8-3 last season and will look to keep the momentum going in 2021. Starting quarterback D'Eriq King will be back leading an offense that averaged 34.0 points per game last season. The Hurricanes also only gave up 27.0 points per game. King himself is +1600 to take home the Heisman next season.
