Professional athletes have often given us indirect signs of their upcoming moves in free agency through actions on social media. Al Horford is no different, after he opted out of his deal of his deal with the Boston Celtics to explore the open market.

Horford may have even just given us a strong sign that he's interested in bringing his veteran experience to a team that recently packed its roster with some incredible young talent: the New Orleans Pelicans.

Horford followed Pelicans' guard Jrue Holiday and New Orleans' No. 1 overall 2019 NBA Draft pick, Zion Williamson, on Instagram this Saturday.

New Orleans has surplus of young talent that could immensely benefit with the addition of veteran leadership from a player like Horford. And after trading Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers in return for Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram, Jaxson Hayes and Nickeil Alexander-Walker, the Pelicans have quite the new-look roster.

If Horford does join this squad, the rebuilding period following the trade of a superstar like Davis could be turned around in flash. While heavier on frontcourt talent, a starting five of Ball, Holiday, Ingram, Williamson and Horford could be a competitive force in the West.

Only time will tell if this move on social media is a hint to Horford leaving Boston for the Big Easy. However, if this hint becomes a reality, the Pelicans could be one serious step closer to a competitive postseason run.
