Opening Day of the 2022 MLB season is rapidly approaching, which means baseball fans looking to bet on futures should head over to FanDuel Sportsbook. The opening odds for the American League Cy Young Award favor New York Yankee Gerrit Cole over Cleveland Guardian Shane Bieber.

Cole leads all candidates with odds set at +400, while Bieber checks in with odds set at +900. Lucas Giolito of the Chicago White Sox (+1000) rounds out a solid top three. Newcomers brought to AL through both free agency and offseason trades are sure to shake things up this summer, though.

Of course, Cole is coming off a season in which he finished second in the AL Cy Young voting after posting a 16-8 record and 3.23 ERA. Meanwhile, Bieber struck out 134 across 16 starts in 2021 (96.2 innings pitched) and Giolito finished with an ERA under 3.60 for the third consecutive season.
