Tennessee Titans No. 1 wide receiver A.J. Brown has been sidelined for the last three games with a chest injury. Fortunately, for both Titans fans and fantasy managers, his latest injury update provides some much-needed optimism in Week 16.
AJ Brown Injury Update
Brown didn't face any setbacks during practice this week. That has led to the Titans activating him from the injured reserve in time for the Thursday Night Football matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
Thanks to this injury update, Brown's Week 16 fantasy outlook has received a considerable boost.
AJ Brown Fantasy Outlook
Brown has put fantasy managers on a rollercoaster ride throughout the 2021 NFL season due to injuries and inconsistencies. He was playing as the WR28 in PPR before his stint on the injured reserve, averaging 12.7 fantasy points per game.
Even with his struggles, there's no doubting that Brown is Tennesse's No. 1 offensive option whenever he plays. With Derrick Henry still on the IR and Julio Jones struggling, the Titans will need the third-year wideout to be at his best.
The good news is that Brown does have a favorable matchup against a 49ers defense giving up the 12th-most fantasy points to wide receivers in PPR. If he's truly 100%, he has a good chance tonight at a WR2 finish with WR1 upside.
