The Atlanta Braves began the 2022 MLB season on a down note following their World Series victory, but have since turned things around. They're owners of an eight-game winning streak — making them one of the hottest teams in baseball — and are showing no signs of slowing down.

It can be easy for a team to get caught up in a lengthy winning streak and Braves leftfielder Adam Duvall knows it. That's why he has the perfect mindset to have if he wants his team's current bout with success to last.

Atlanta Braves Winning Streak

Duvall spoke with reporters following the Braves' 3-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday, saying that "this game will humble you faster than anything." He and the rest of his team are doing their best not to get caught up in the success and are taking things on a game-by-game basis.

The Braves have done fantastic on both sides of the ball during their winning streak. Only the Philadelphia Phillies have scored more runs (57) than Atlanta (55) during that span, while the Braves' 2.28 ERA only trails the Boston Red Sox (1.75 ERA).

Duvall had an underwhelming start to the 2022 campaign, but has been turning things around over the last eight games. He's batting .320 with six extra-base hits over that stretch — two of which are home runs — along with five RBIs.

The Braves need Duvall and his teammates to continue their tear if they want to extend their winning streak to nine games when they host the Pirates, once again, on Friday.

Pirates vs Braves Odds (June 10)

Fortunately for Atlanta fans, the Braves have won 10 of their last 11 home matchups against the Pirates. That's a trend that FanDuel Sportsbook sees continuing, favoring the Braves at -198 on the moneyline, whereas the Pirates sit at +166.
