As seems to be the case every year, injuries have made things tough on many of the top-drafted fantasy football running backs in 2021. The latest to join that group is Aaron Jones.
Jones suffered a sprained MCL in Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. There's no word yet on how much time (if any) he might miss, but the potential that he's on the shelf for a couple weeks gives AJ Dillon's fantasy football value a massive boost. That makes him one of the top waiver wire targets in Week 11.
Source confirmed initial diagnosis on #Packers RB Aaron Jones is a sprained R MCL. Jones has sprained his MCL 3 other times, 2 on his R and once L. He missed 2 games in '17 w/L and did the R at the end of the '17 and '18 seasons, so he didn't return. No surgery for any of them.

Jones has shouldered a huge workload for the Packers this season, averaging 13.9 carries plus 4.9 targets per game across his last eight healthy games. He also played over 60% of the Packers' offensive snaps in seven of those eight.
Playing second fiddle, Dillon didn't eclipse a 40% snap share in any of the first nine weeks of the season, though he did still manage to rack up 12-plus touches four times.
With Jones going down early, Dillon played a season-high 36 snaps on Sunday and turned 23 touches into 128 yards from scrimmage and 2 touchdowns. It's clear that he'll be a workhorse if Jones misses any time, and that would make him a must-start fantasy play.
Fantasy managers will have to keep a close eye on Jones' status. Even if we don't get an update on Jones, if you're in the 28% of leagues in which Dillon is still available on the waiver wire then he should be a top priority target.
