Week 3 was Aaron Jones' first two-touchdown game of the season, and he racked up 15.3 fantasy points against the Denver Broncos. Scoring aside, though, it was also the most concerning game of the young season for his fantasy football value.

His fantasy total was entirely reliant on touchdowns, finishing with only 21 yards from scrimmage on 10 carries and one reception. He also played a season-low 22 snaps in the game.

It's not time to hit the panic button on Jones yet, as even in his most underwhelming game of the season so far he still out-scored Jamaal Williams (10.6 fantasy points). We also saw Williams open the 2018 season as the Green Bay Packers' starting RB before losing the job to Jones, so the coaching staff isn't likely to be especially high on Williams.

Still, the Week 3 numbers are a definite concern, especially because Williams' workload has now trended up each week. He went from seven touches in Week 1 to 12 in Week 2 and 14 in Week 3, and his snap share has also increased in each game.

Jones has been a far more efficient rusher than Williams, averaging a career 5.2 yards per carry to Williams' 3.7 since both were drafted by the Packers in 2017, but efficiency can only carry you so far in fantasy football.

Volume trumps everything else at the RB position, so unless the Packers start to increase Jones' workload again, his fantasy football value will take a hit. There's no need to overreact to the extreme one-week drop, but the three-week trend should definitely be on your radar, and Jones is down to 20th among RBs in our Week 4 fantasy football rankings.
