AAC Tournament Prediction
Memphis is going to be a trendy pick in the AAC tournament given they have taken down Houston twice this season by a combined 24 points. The only problem is that they will likely need to defeat SMU in the semifinals first. The Mustangs have defeated the Tigers in five of their last six meetings.
Remember that the Cougars are a heavy favorite here for a reason. Houston ranks No. 13 in the country in offensive efficiency and No. 3 in defensive efficiency. It doesn't get much more balance than that. Head coach Kelvin Sampson's team also checks in at No. 5 in the KenPom ratings.
Houston has a whopping six players on the roster averaging double digits in scoring, led by guard Marcus Sasser (17.7). With revenge on their minds, the Cougars are the pick here at -140. Trust them to lock up their second consecutive AAC tournament title in dominating fashion.
