Tennessee Titans star wide receiver A.J. Brown hasn't suited up since Week 11 due to a chest injury. With Week 16 being the Titans' first opportunity to activate him from the injured reserve, Tennessee fans and fantasy managers alike are wondering what his status is for the upcoming weekend.
A.J. Brown Injury Update
Titans head coach Matt Vrabel told reporters on Monday that the team hopes to have Brown back for Week 16, however, that'll be determined by how he progresses this week. With Tennessee playing on Thursday, his status could come down to the wire.
Is A.J. Brown Going to Play This Week?
As mentioned before, Brown's official Week 16 status will likely be determined in the coming days. He hasn't played a game in about a month, so the Titans try and see as much as they can from him before making a choice. It could come down to a game-time decision depending on how practice plays out.
When is A.J. Brown Coming Back?
If all goes well in practice, Brown could make his return on Thursday against the San Francisco 49ers. If he's unable to be cleared by then, a Week 17 matchup with the Miami Dolphins seems more realistic because that'll give him extra time to get to 100%.
A.J. Brown Week 12
The Titans will host the 49ers in Week 16's Thursday Night Football matchup. Tennessee is currently the 3.5-point underdog, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
