Whether it's an effect of the shortened offseason or just a coincidence, injuries have been one of the biggest stories of the start of the 2020 NFL season.
The latest player at risk of missing time is Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown. That's bad news for fantasy football managers who spent an early-round pick on the 2019 breakout, but it does mean big things for Corey Davis' fantasy outlook.
A.J. Brown Injury Update
It's good news that the knee injury isn't a torn ligament, but Brown is still potentially facing a multi-week absence with a bone bruise. He hasn't officially been ruled out for Week 2, but considering the injury could effect his availability beyond this week and he's being described as week-to-week, it's hard to imagine him playing on Sunday.
Corey Davis Fantasy Outlook
Davis already tied Brown for the team lead in targets in Week 1, turning 8 of them into 7 receptions and 101 yards.
With Brown out of commission, Davis will be called upon to step up as the No. 1 wideout in Tennessee, solidifying the volume he can expect to see. Instead of being a pleasant surprise, 8 targets could be closer to a floor for Davis, who has already seen 8 in two of his last four games (including playoffs).
With a great matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Davis will be a solid fantasy football option in if Brown can't go.
