A.J. Brown Injury News Takes Worrying Turn

The Tennessee Titans just can't seem to catch a break. They returned from their COVID-19 hiatus with a big win over the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday night, but star wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee) was once again on the shelf during Thursday's practice.

Brown got banged up in Week 1, and Tuesday's game was his first time back on the field. He's been a force when active, tallying 12 receptions, 121 yards and 1 TD on his 17 targets, but this knee injury is clearly not behind him.
This is Tennessee's first practice of the week, so it's still too early to panic. Even a limited practice on Friday would probably put him on track to play again in Week 6 against the Houston Texans.
If Brown doesn't play, the Titans will need to hope that Corey Davis is able to be activated from the Injured Reserve/COVID-19 list. If both Brown and Davis are out, tight end Jonnu Smith would be Ryan Tannehill's top receiving option, and wideouts Adam Humphries, Nick Westbrook and Kalif Raymond would all need to play expanded roles.
FanDuel Sportsbook has the Titans as 3.5-points favorites as they look to move to 5-0 on Sunday.
