The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (12-16, 4-11 ACC) are traveling Virginia to take on the No. 2 ranked Cavaliers (24-2, 12-2 ACC) in what looks to be a potentially lopsided ACC matchup on Wednesday. The Cavs are 18-point favorites at home in Charlottesville, according to the FanDuel Sportsbook.

It's always a good idea to consult people in the know before making a wager on a game like this, so here are some expert predictions on this matchup.

Virginia vs Georgia Tech Predictions

Sports Chat Place

The minds at Sports Chat Place are confident in the Yellow Jackets, or at least confident enough to take the points. They cite the slow pace of both teams as a reason to not expect a massive blowout.

TheSpread.com

While the Cavaliers haven't blown out anyone recently, TheSpread.com's Dereck Patrick thinks they'll cover against Georgia Tech. He says that the Yellow Jackets are the worst team UVA has played in over a month and that the Cavs should take advantage of this tune-up game.

Sports Jaw

The Sports Jaw's scorecaster formula is taking Georgia Tech plus the points. Despite 65 percent of the field being on the under (120.5), they are predicting the over with Virginia winning, 75-57.

ESPN Basketball Power Index Matchup Predictor

The ESPN supercomputer is giving the Yellow Jackets almost no chance at pulling off the upset. The Cavaliers have a 98.7 percent chance at successfully defending their home court tonight.

So we have everyone expecting Virginia to handily win, but two of the three experts are taking Georgia Tech plus almost 20 points.
