For nearly a decade, we could pencil the Spurs in for 50-60 wins and a Western Conference Finals appearance. Now the Spurs are barely in the playoff picture and have stumbled coming out of the All-Star Break

Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

The Spurs are currently spiraling out of control, losing six of their last seven with the Lakers and the Kings breathing down their necks for their playoff spot. For bettors looking for an edge at the Spurs' expense, there could be one tonight against the Nets.

The Spurs' most recent defeat came at the hands of the 12-win New York Knicks, who are actively tanking for Zion Williamson. The trends are also not on the Spurs side for tonight as they cross the bridge to Brooklyn for another road game against the Nets, who are 2-point favorites at the FanDuel Sportsbook.

As the stats above suggest, this could be good for Spurs bettors.

The Nets are 31-30 on the season, but are coming off of a huge road win in Charlotte. The Nets are 18-12 ATS coming off of a win this season and are 4-2 ATS over their last six, adding even more positive trends to their repertoire.

Coach Pop needs to get his team in shape if the Spurs hope to stay in the playoff picture. It might not help tonight, however, with the trends overwhelmingly in favor of the Nets.
