It's pretty well known that top-10 draft picks are paid well.

Just how well, however, might surprise you.

According to Over the Cap founder Jason Fitzgerald, the first overall pick of the 2019 draft is expected to make a whopping $35.4 million over the course of their rookie deal, including a $23.8 million signing bonus. The pay scale slides with each sequential pick, but the amount that 2-10 are expected make is still absurd.

As of now, Nick Bosa has been widely regarded as the projected top pick and seems in line for the biggest payday of the 2019 class. However, Kyler Murray has thrown a wrench in things now that he's declared, as some mocks have him being selected No. 1 overall.

It may have been a questionable decision to make considering he committed to the Oakland A's from the outset, but based on the above, you really can't fault Murray for committing to football over baseball, now can you?

If he gets drafted No. 7, he would be guaranteed $22.9 million, so yeah, it's just a business decision.
